The museum displays local projects’ process work for the designs of Columbus, Indiana. The objective primarily was accomodating the city’s architectural archives, Cummins, Inc. innovations and past designs, a rotating gallery space, and a cafe for guests to enjoy. Through proper programatic strategies, all museum standard requirements are able to fit within the building and flow seemlessly between one another. A central open space resides all levels opening up to the fourth level cafe complete with open balacony space and views to Columbus’ beautiful landmarks, further encouraging visitors to explore the rest of the city.

The double-skinned glass facade covering most of the north and south building sides, is designed to ensure water does not get between the translucent layers, while natural ventilation and daylighting are able to penetrate the skin and providing sustainable and pleasurable environment within the museum.
